The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 softball Cricket Competition 2017 continued last weekend at the Richland Park Oval and there were wins for Sion Hill Tallawahs, Gairy Construction Simple Boyz, Mount Pleasant, Fully Loaded Ballerz and Owia Young Strikers

On Saturday, Sion Hill Tallawahs defeated Xtreme by 5 wickets.

Xtreme, who had won both their opening matches batting first, were restricted to 89/6  off their allotment of 20 overs, with Kendall Buntyn who struck 40 (4×4, 3×6) being the topscore with Irwin Williams 3/16. Sion Hill Tallawahs overcame a few anxious moments before securing victory, ended 94/5 (12 overs) with Israel Baptiste 3/25.

Gairy Construction Simple Boyz behind a pyroclastic display by allrounder Stein Joseph closed down Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers with a comprehensive 8-wicket win.

Batting first with a depleted team, Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers were indebted Donwell Hector 29 for posting a face-saving total of 78 made in 15 overs. Hector struck 3 fours and 2 sixes-most of them real cricket shots. Joseph grabbed 4/7 with accurate bowling. Set 79 for victory Joseph (46*) sent Gairy Construction Simple Boyz out at a gallop by hitting the first three balls of the innings some distance for sixes. He remained unbeaten at the end after 5 sixes and a solitary boundary.

On Sunday, Mount Pleasant defeated Snipers by 5e wickets.

SCORES: Snipers 75/9 (20 overs) Benito Deane 3/18, Raffique Joe 3/22; Mount Pleasant 80/5 (13.2 overs) Raymond Sayers 2/10.

Fully Loaded Ballerz defeated Carrier Blazers by 50 runs.

SCORES:  Fully Loaded Ballerz 109 (19.5 overs) Ronique James 45 (5×6, 1×4) Xavier Edwards 4/19, Carrier Blazers 59 (13.2 overs) Kentish Richards 6/4.

Owia Young Strikers defeated Street Fighters by 2 wickets.

SCORES: Street Fighters 116/8 (20 overs) Leroy Dalzell 48 (6×6, 2×4), Derek Hooper 3/23.

Owia Young Strikers 120/8 (17 overs) Marcus Hackshaw 40 ( 4×6, 2×4) Zaniel Baptiste 38 (3×6, 3×4).

Another five matches are scheduled for this weekend at the Richland Park Oval.

Stein Joseph of Gairy Construction Simple Boyz was named the Coreas Distributors Player of the Weekend for his 4/7, two catches while wicketkeeping and 46*.
