Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves says Russian President Vladimir Putin has received his Feb. 24 letter urging a withdrawal of troops from Ukraine.
“Yes, there has been an acknowledgement of the receipt of my letter. And in relation to my communication, or communication from other heads of state or government to me, I don’t conduct diplomacy in public,’ Gonsalves said, when asked on Friday.
“And I’m not going further to tell you whatever other communication there has been between the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Russian government, or indeed the government of St. Vincent and Grenadines and representatives of the British or American government.”
In the letter to Putin, Gonsalves said:
“At a personal level, as a friend of the Russian Federation, I am urging you very strongly to cease ‘the special military operation’ in Ukraine. Peace is a great cause, and great causes have never been won by doubtful men and women.
“I have full confidence that you, a distinguished son of the magnificent Russian civilisation, will weigh carefully what I have written. Let us go forth in peace, security, and prosperity for all. Please do not disappoint me.”
Look at this big belly fool looking for relevance. Putin probably wiped his ass with the letter, if he received it at all. He is cutting on all sides.
