St. Vincent and the Grenadines has recorded its first COVID-19 deaths since February.
Over the past week, two 70-year-old unvaccinated people died of the viral illness, taking the tally to 108, health officials have said.
A 70-year-old unvaccinated female with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on May24 and was admitted to the COVID-19 Ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Then, a 70-year-old male with underlying conditions tested positive for COVID-19 on May 26 and died that day upon arrival at the Chateaubelair SMART Hospital.
The unvaccinated man died of COVID-19 pneumonia.
Of the 108 people who have died of COVID-19 in SVG, five were fully vaccinated, one partially vaccinated, and 102 unvaccinated.
According to the SVG COVID-19 Update for Wednesday, June 1, there are 144 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
Four people — one fully vaccinated and three unvaccinated — are hospitalised as a result of COVID-19.
A total of 71,018 vaccines have been administered, representing 36,580 first doses, 30,661 second doses and 3,777 boosters.
The key word concerning these deaths here is “underlying conditions” I thank Kenton for mentioning that because most reporters would not.
We should look at what those underlying conditions are. Before the lockdowns the deathrate of all countries heavily infected with Covid-19 was no different than before the “pandemic”. Many jurisdictions in the USA have admitted that they have “doctored” the facts concerning Covid deaths. Much of that information is censored and difficult to find on the internet.
