A Georgetown businessman who admitted to assaulting his wife occasioning actual bodily harm has been ordered to vacate the home that they share.

The man, Michael Warren, 44, however, pleaded not guilty to a charge that on May 13, in circumstances likely to cause a breach of the peace, he made use of threatening language to his wife, Alvina Warren, to wit “ah one chop me ah go give yo in yo face”.

Magistrate Bertie Pompey ordered the defendant to vacate the family home and that he must be accompanied by the police when he goes there to collect his belongings.

He is also to have no contact with his wife, and to vacate the premises that they both shared.

Pompey granted the defendant bail in the sum of EC$1,500 with one surety and transferred the other matters to the Family Court for hearing on June 13.
