The St. Vincent and the Grenadines senior national netball team, “Vincy Jewels”, will travel to El Salvador, on Friday, to compete in the inaugural Central American and Caribbean Games.
The team has been in preparation over the past months to ensure that the high level of representation that we have begun in 2022 continues, the SVG Netball Association said in a statement.
The team will be captained by Kaywana Charles and will be assisted by her Vice-Captain Kemisha Antoine.
The other members of the team are Ruthann Williams, Mary-Ann Frederick, Shellisa Davis, Joseann Antoine, Jo Maria Quashie, Zanique Vincent, Kyila Miller, Shania Pompey, and debutants Geziel Miller and Kristiana Christopher.
Vasha Adams is the coach; Pearlina Thomas, the manager; and, Javed Marksman, the physiotherapist.
The team will compete in five matches over the period with the aim of being among the top three.
President of the SVGNA, Natasha Baptiste said she is very pleased with the commitment and dedication of the players and is confident that they will continue to make SVG proud.
In August, VIncy Jewels Youth will compete in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago from Aug. 2 to 10.
