Alvina Pinder — Miss Grenadine House

Alvina Pinder

My name is Alvina Pinder, and I am 19 years old. I come from a close-knit family that has triumphed through numerous trials. My mother’s resilience and tenacity have been a constant source of inspiration, teaching me the values of perseverance and love. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a loving and supportive family by my side, making every challenge a little easier to overcome.

In my spare time, I cherish moments with my family and find immense pleasure in the captivating world of romance novels. I have a profound passion for art, which I express through painting, drawing, and crafting. Creating art allows me to convey my thoughts and emotions, transforming blank canvases into vibrant expressions of creativity.

I attended St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School and then Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia. My early education was marred by intense bullying, even by those whose job it was to protect me. Still, I persevered. With a deep love for creative expression, I enrolled at the St. Vincent Community College DASGS to study art. However, the academic pressure and social challenges became overwhelming, and I ultimately had to make the difficult decision to drop out. Despite this setback, I did not give up on my passion for art nor my aspirations for higher education in this field.

Currently, I work as an agent at Clear Harbor. I continue to nurture my artistic talents and remain committed to returning to higher education to further develop my skills and achieve my dreams in the world of art.

I am Athalia Gloster, a 20-year-old resident of the tranquil community of Peruvian Vale. I am a proud graduate of St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, where I attained eight CSEC passes, and later of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division of Arts, Science, and General Studies, with an Associate Degree in business management.

My altruism and authenticity have helped me develop an unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of others. My spirit of humanitarianism and empowerment is founded upon my Guide Promise — an oath I swore three times as an enrolled Brownie Guide, Girl Guide, and Ranger. I aim to realise my royal dream by utilising the Miss SVG 2024 platform to launch a non-profit organisation that serves the needs of the Vincentian people. This organisation will transcend my participation in this pageant and my possible incumbency as Queen

Each step has been marked by determination and passion. Early on, the melody of piano keys and the graceful rhythm of dance with the Avenues Dancers painted a canvas of artistic expression. As a Girl Guide and later a prefect, I embraced leadership with compassion and resolve. Transitioning to tertiary education, I juggled CAPE subjects alongside leadership roles as cheer captain and president of the Performing Arts Society Dance Troupe. Each experience has honed my skills, forging a path of discipline and creativity.
