I sat and listened to the Democratic National Convention in the United States of America and I was very touched by many of the speakers, especially the parents who recounted the stories of those who were killed or captured in Gaza in October 2023.
I immediately felt the growing pain that many of us are continuing to endure here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, under the most depressing, uncaring, unpatriotic, selfish, and, may I add, vindictive and spiteful government. Tears ran from my eyes as I recalled the many teachers, police officers, and public servants who were fired because of this government’s vaccine mandate. I am one of them.
Many are still at home without a job, not knowing where their next means of income are coming from or how their bills and mortgages will be paid. I urge all Vincentians, especially the ULP supporters who think that this is normal, to stand up now and hold accountable those responsible for what is happening in the party that you support.
Many of you are also feeling the economic pain: poor healthcare, poor security, high utility bills and not being able to send your children to school. Yet, you continue to support what is wrong. We are better than this, ULP supporters; we are better than this as Vincentians. Let us, now more than ever, hold our leaders accountable for their wrongdoings.
Failing to do so, what are we hoping to tell our grandchildren and great-grandchildren when many questions are posed to us? It’s clear that the prime minister is obsessed with power and does not have you nor your family at heart. After the boast of an economic takeoff many moons ago, our roads are at the worst in living memory, high unemployment, skyrocketing crime rate among our youths, the few jobs available are for family and friends. Our tourism and agricultural sector at a standstill.
The time has come for you to look beyond party. We all deserve a high standard of life, not just some people. Let us all come together and take back this country so that there can be a greater opportunity for prosperity. As a former commissioner of police would say, “Do what is right and fear no one.”

Brenton Smith I am going to say to you what I said to Ann-Marie.
Yes, I agree that in order for the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to moved forward, there has to be a new government in place.
I am now going to suggest a new Government called GAP. GAP is the Government And Peace, that the nations are looking for. It is a fair and just government and promise to build up the hedge that have been broken down by other governments.
It will solve the problems that other governments have failed to solve. It promise the people peace with God first and foremost, because if you have peace with God you will have peace with one another. We will love one another and not entertain nor kill each other.
Integrity is a must if we are going to see change in the nations of the world.
Some persons want a one world government. They have it and it’s still not working. There is only two ways in life, good and evil. If the government of this world was doing good we would not be seeing so much evil. But since they are not doing good, a change is needed. We must step up and make that change. When we decided to stand in the GAP the hedge will be built up and the land spared that it should not be destroyed.
Remember Sodom and Gomorrah. God could not find no one to stand in the gap for that land and it was destroyed.
So let us get rid of our own way and let the GAP be established upon His shoulders. Hope to hear from you.
PS
There will be work, plenty work that I will create for so many Vincentian but people must believe it can be done. We take back SVG you watch and see.

Brenton Smith, you have been anti-Ralph from day one. You will be anti-Ralph until the end of your days, long past the long and blessed rule of the Comrade.
In the meantime, get set for six-in-row because your beloved NDP has neither the talent nor the drive to replace our supreme ruler of the ages.
The lady with the broad hat looks good, the rest can join a most ugly contest.
