On Sunday, I Support Positive Youths (ISPY), led by Allington Creque aka Gumption ISPY,  teamed up with the Janice Lyttle Foundation (JLF) and interCaribbean Airways to deliver 210.5lbs of school supplies to children in 10 villages across St. Vincent.

Lyttle Feet, a charity founded and run KJ Lyttle, son of Vincentians, multi-platinum-selling international recording artiste, Kevin Lyttle and Jacqueline James-Lyttle, distributed over 250 pairs of shoes while ISPY handed out backpacks with school supplies to the students .

It was Gumption’s first time in St. Vincent but his second time assisting it. In the wake of the devastating Hurricane Beryl, on July 1, he donated six high-powered generators.

Gumption said he was thrilled to partner with the Janice Lyttle Foundation and Lyttle Feet on the school supplies project.

The donations were made in 10 villages between Owia and Chateaubelair.

“The Dr. Janice Lyttle & Kevin Lyttle foundations have a deep passion for the community and though everything is not made public, the Lyttles have been doing their part and I’m proud to join them on this initiative,” Gumption said.

“The love and appreciation that we get from everyone makes it worth it. This island is huge, but the people are very loving.”

Sunday’s distribution was led by Candice Sealey with the assistance of other members of the Janice Lyttle Foundation distribution team including Ezzie Roberts and Asberth Williams. Lyttle Feet volunteers also played a key role in the distribution effort.

“I’m looking forward to working with Candice as we organise an in-school motivational tour in 2025,” Gumption said.

Gumption ended his trip with a visit to the Office of the Prime Minister, where Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves congratulated him for his contribution.

Gumption described his first visit to St. Vincent as a success and said he was planning a second visit.

“I believe I can speak for everyone that we enjoyed this partnership together to help communities, especially when in need. We wish all the students a safe journey back to school. Remain humble, work hard, and dream big for you can do and be anyone you want,” Gumption said.

He said he was recently in Malawi, Africa as part of a team building a school there.

Two months ago, he donated 200 pairs of shoes and materials for school uniforms and the local football team he has sponsored with his charity.
