A teacher at the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia who has taught biology for over 10 years has written a “Workbook for Caribbean Biology”.

Vincentian Anya St. Jean’s workbook provides practice for the biology CSEC examinations. It comprises multiple-choice, true-or-false, fill-in-the-blank questions and is organised according to topics which are further divided into sub-topics.

In this way, the book ensures full coverage of the CSEC Biology syllabus.

“This is a great resource for biology students of Forms 3 to 5, as well as biology teachers,” a press release said.

St. Jean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with emphasis in zoology from Andrews University, and a Master of Science degree in biology, with emphasis in microbiology from Northern Caribbean University.

She has taught biology at the Girls’ High School and the Thomas Saunders Secondary School. “Her students have had great success in their biology CSEC exams and it is her wish that this workbook will help to reap the same for others,” the release said.

She is a wiz, a Gem, with the wisdom of God. Anya is truly a blessed child of God. I am not shocked, because I will never forget the moments of her graduation from the University of the Southern Caribbean, when she graduated with the highest honor…SUMA CUM LAUDE!!

I felt really proud of her then and I knew she will do great things. I continue to be proud of you ANYA…Sis St Jean… blessings to you always.

  2. She has the aptitude and qualification so why not ? Congratulations ! All Vincentians should think about using their skills , experience, and intellect to develop our nation and stop defending on outsiders to do it for us – nation building!
