Police have charged a 53-year-old unemployed resident of Frenches with possession of 1,075 grams of cocaine.
Patricia Solomon is alleged to have had the cocaine in an icebox at her home when police conducted a raid there last Wednesday.
Police said in a statement on Saturday that the drug was found during a police operation in Frenches about 11 a.m., on Wednesday.
Officers from the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) and the Narcotics Unit (Drug Squad) are alleged to have found the drug during the search of a residence in Frenches.
Solomon appeared at the Mesopotamia Magistrate Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
She was placed on EC$20,000 bail with one surety and was ordered to surrender her travel documents and report to the Central Police Station every Monday and Thursday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Stop Notices were also placed at all ports of entry and exit and the case was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court for a hearing on Tuesday.
