Lawyer Bayliss Frederick, who celebrated his 100th birthday in September, died on Thursday, his daughter Vynnette Frederick said on Facebook.
“The Centenarian is no more. Kiss Mommy for me, Daddy!” Frederick, who is also a lawyer, said in a post on Facebook.
The post came one day after Frederick said in another Facebook post that her father was in the departure lounge of life.
“Dad is leaving this earthly plane and it has been tremendously difficult for our family,” she said ina. post on Wednesday.
“We have been doing our best to keep him comfortable as he transitions. We are happy to have celebrated him in Sept. I have been quiet and this is why,” Frederick said.
The centenarian died one month to the day that his daughter posted a video on Facebook showing him rocking, with the aid of a cane, to music during his centenary celebrations.
Frederick was flanked by Vynnette and his son, JB Frederick, a physician, in the video posted six days after he celebrated his 100th birthday on Sept. 18.
Vynnette had used social media to share videos of her father’s wry humour and quick wit during his 90s, referring to him then as the “Nonagenarian”.
Bayliss Frederick was a founding partner of Fredericks Attorneys, the law firm that his daughter now heads.
