Junior Chamber International (JCI) St. Vincent, also known as the St. Vincent Jaycees, has installed its 2026 board of directors.
The installation ceremony on Jan. 3 celebrated the achievements of the organisation during its 2025 administrative year, led by outgoing President Lisha Beache.
Highlights included the hosting of the 65th National Convention of JCI West Indies, marking the return of the convention to St. Vincent after more than a decade, as well as impactful community projects carried out in partnership with St. Benedict’s School and the School for Children with Special Needs.
Members and well-wishers were inspired by the charge to leadership delivered by JCI Senator Dennis Gaymes, who emphasised the vital role young leaders play in shaping the future of their communities.
He encouraged thenewly installed board to lead with integrity and resilience, reminding them to remain grounded in JCI’s creed, mission, and vision as they navigate challenges ahead.
Newly installed 2026 President, Dominic Horne, delivered his inaugural address, expressing appreciation to the 2025 Board for its service and achievements. He announced the theme for the 2026 administrative year, “Be Better: Unity in Structure, Excellence in Service.”
The 2026 Board of Directors constitutes the executive authority of JCI St. Vincent and is responsible for managing the chapter’s affairs.
It is comprised of President Dominic Horne, Immediate Past President Lisha Beache, Secretary General Nigel Thomas, Executive Vice President Tyana Stewart, and Vice Presidents Delon DaSilva and Omarr Edwards. Past National Executive Assistant and Past President Wanika Ashton was also appointed General Legal Counsel.
The evening concluded with the induction of new members, welcoming them into a legacy of youthful leadership, service, and civic engagement.
Meanwhile, at JCI’s World Congress in Tunisia in October 2025, the international organisation celebrated its 110th anniversary.
During the congress, JCI unveiled a new logo that reflects its evolution while honouring its roots. The design incorporates symbolic elements such as the iconic shield, structural pillars, global regions, and the ripple effect created by members through service and leadership in their communities.
