In an effort to mobilise relief for those affected by the Christmas Eve disaster, Country Meets Town J’ouvert Band (Team CMT) has collaborated with some of SVG’s DJs and sportspersons to host a second consecutive weekend of cricket and football games at the Cane End playing field.
This Sunday’s games will feature:
Cricket: Police vs Out Ah Trouble 11
Football: Computec Masters vs P’tani Masters.
Admission to the event is free but monetary donations and non-perishable food items will be collected at the gate.
ALL proceeds to be donated to those in need of assistance from the Christmas Disaster.
Music will be provided by The Most Wanted X-clusive Sounds, Dj Parpe, Dj Benson, Dj Donovan, Dj Tarrus and The Hypactive Movements.
“We’re calling on everyone to show some support to our brothers and sisters who need our help at this time. So come out in your numbers on Sunday and support a worthy cause. We never know when we ourselves might need a helping hand!” organisers said in a press release.
Last weekend saw scores of patrons from Marriaqua and surrounding areas coming out and donating boxes and bags of clothes and food. Monetary donations amounted to $565, which was all used to purchase additional non-perishable food items.
