A police officer shot and killed a man in Greiggs on Thursday, averting what has been described as a cutlass attack on a woman.
Information reaching I-Witness News indicate that the man has had mental problems in the past.
The police officer is said to be a member of a tactical unit of the Force, but it was not clear if he was on duty at the time, or if the firearm used was a service firearm.
A photo of the man’s body (above) circulated via social media shows him lying facedown with a cutlass next to his body.
WHY, why is it that the police always shoot to kill, why? why not shoot in the leg or somewhere that stops a person but doesn’t kill them, why not?
Are the police trained to kill, or trained to save lives the victim and the perpetrator?
Is this part of the ‘WE WILL HUNT THEM DOWN UNTIL THEY EXIST NO MORE’ government policy.

well i’m not a police officer but i’m a cadet , have you ever done target practice ? i don’t believe so , trying to hit a moving target in the leg at a certain range (10-15 ft) is very difficult , so it is most viable to shoot the target in the mid section which at most times results in death or serious injury. so please stop it about police always shoot to kill.

He was trying to kill a woman, he knew what he was doing.. I say shoot to kill… If you don’t want to be killed like that, that you should not put yourself in a position where you tried to kill a woman/person with a cutlass..
