Police are investigating the shooting death of Ricardo Mattis, whose body was found in a house in Campden Park by construction workers around 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The 36-year-old man, who is originally from Paul’s Avenue, is said to have been shot five times in the chest, neck, and head.
It is believed that the man was sleeping when he was shot and killed.
Mattis’ death brings to 13 the number of murders in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 2014.
It is also the 10th murder in which guns were used.
On May 6, 20-year-old Kyle Phillips was shot yard away from his house in Lowmans Leeward. He died a few hours later in hospital.
Police have since charged fellow villagers Jason Henry, 29, and Rodney Roberts, 24, with Phillips’ murder.
