Rohan Ash, 5 for 12, and Saeed Peter, 51, were the main highlights when action in the Fourth Annual Dovers Electrical Services East Kingstown Sports Association Softball Cricket Competition continued on the weekend at the Grammar School Playing Field.

In one of two games played on Saturday, General Hardware Richmond Hill United had a 13-run win over Customs. Batting first, General Hardware Richmond Hill United were dismissed for 76 off 13 overs. Elroy Cumberbatch made 28. Lorenzo Barbour took 3 for 15, Curtbert Spring, 3 for 19, and Ronique Edwards, 2 for 39, all got amongst the wicket for Customs.

In reply Customs reach 63 all out off 19 overs. Rohan Ash grabbed 5 for 12 and Colin Lee, 2 for 22, for General Hardware Richmond Hill United.

In another game on Saturday, C.K. Greaves Stars had an upset win over Attackers 2, beating them by 12 runs. Batting first, C.K. Greaves Stars were dismissed for 80 off 19 overs.

Jerry Williams made 22. Nickie Antoine bagged 4 for 8 and Mark Garrick took 2 for 11, bowling for Attackers 2.

In reply, Attackers 2 were dismissed for 68 off 17.3 overs. C.K. Greaves Stars’ attack was spareheaded by Jevorn Williams, 3 for 9, Ozico Williams, 2 for 9, and Garth Alexander, 2 for 11.

In one of two matches played on Sunday, Spartans had an easy 8-wicket win over Just for the Fun. Just for the Fun were dismissed for a paltry 56 off 14.5 overs. Kamara Penniston, 2 for 7, both Marlon Cambridge and Raffie Williams took 2 wickets for 11 run, bowling for Spartans. In reply Spartans reached their victory target of 57 for 2 wickets off 12.3 overs.

Captain Atneil Ash top scored with 31.

In the feature match on Sunday Dr. Thomas Injectors had a 34-run win over Combine Forces. Dr. Thomas Injectors, batting first, reached 98 for 6 off their allotment of 15 overs. Saeed Peters slammed 51. Travis Cumberbatch took 2 for 24 and Cassius Welcome, 2 for 20, bowling for Combines Forces. In reply Combine Forces were dismissed for 55 off 11.5 overs. Len Grant took 3 for 13, bowling for Dr. Thomas Injectors.
