Both matched on Saturday were abandoned because of rain as the Fourth Annual Dovers Electrical Services, East Kingstown Sports Association Softball Cricket Competition continued last weekend at Grammar School Playing Field
Bank of SVG All Stars, Spartans, C.K. Greaves Stars and Attackers 1 were awarded four points each after the games were called off.
In one of three matches played on Sunday, Attackers 1 defeated Alcoholix by 21 runs. Attackers 1, taking first knock, reach 97 for 9 off their 20 overs. Kentish Phillips slammed 22. Winston Holder took 3 for 9, Raydon Bentick, 2 for 14, and Anthony Charles, 2 for 24, was the most successful bowlers for Alcoholix.
In reply, Alcoholix reached 76 for 9 off their 20 overs. Kentish Phillips, putting in an all-round performance, took 3 for 16, and Vernardo Primus, 3 for 19, took the bulk of the wickets for Attackers 1.
In the second game, Alcoholix rebounded from their earlier lost to be beat Dr. Thomas Injectors by 7 wickets. Dr. Thomas Injectors were restricted to 65 for 9 off their 20 overs. Winston Holder grabbed 3 for 9, Kenneth Lewis, 2 for 6, and Raydon Bentick, 2 for 7, were the most successful bowlers for Alcoholix.
In reply, Alcoholix reached their victory target of 66. They lost 3 wickets and reached the target in 14.2 overs.
Felix Baptiste slammed 32 not out. Ron Adam was the only wicket-taker for Dr. Thomas Injectors. He took 3 for 10.
In the feature match on Sunday, Just for the Fun had a 3-run win over General Hardware Richmond Hill United.
Batting first, Just for the Fun was restricted to 83 for 6 off their 20 overs. Justin Lee and Colin Lee took 2 for 9 and 2 for 7, respectively, and Elroy Cumberbatch took 2 for 18. In reply, General Hardware Richmond Hill United were restricted to 80 for 9 of 20 overs. Stanford Hamilton slammed 2 not out. Marcus Hacksaw, 2 for 5, Rawlson Nanton, 2 for 14, Okeiph Andrews, 2 for 14, and Jevorn Nero, 2 for 17, were the most successful bowlers for Just for the Fun.
Zenroy Lee of General Hardware Richmond Hill United scored the most runs — 95, while Jevorn Williams of C.K. Greaves Stars, and Elroy Cumberbatch of General Hardware Richmond Hill United, were the leading wickets takers, with 15 wickets each.
