Shné Joachim, with her coach Kyle Dougan, represented St Vincent and the Grenadines at the 20th Biennial Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships (CISC)‎ in Barbados form June 26 to July 7.

In a very tough competition Joachim won the silver medal for second place in the 50 metre breaststroke. She also swam faster than the previous record.

In the swimming world CISC is the next competitive level above Carifta.

The CISC included Carifta teams (such as Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad, Bahamas and Barbados) plus Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Guatemala, Suriname, Bermuda and Costa Rica.
