The Democratic Republican Party (DRP) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) will hold a town hall meeting with Vincentians in Montreal, Canada today, Sunday, Nov. 30.

The meeting, which is being organised by the SVG Association of Montreal (SVGAM Inc.) will be held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall at 3970 Cote St. Catherine at 4 p.m.

DRP leader Anesia Baptiste is visiting Canada on invitation of Mayor Adamie Alayco of the Inuit village of Akuilivik in northern Quebec. She is also being hosted by Vincentian Earl “Ole George” Daniel, who has been the social worker in the Akulivik Community for over five years.

The email invitation to the town hall meeting from Alfred Dear, president of the SVGAM Inc., asks that Vincentians to “bring your relatives and friends to listen to this presentation by this dynamic Vincy young lady”.

The DRP was founded in August 2012 by Baptise, who was earlier that year fired as a senator for the main opposition in SVG, the New Democratic Party.
