J’ouvert celebrations in Layou, part of Central Leeward Carnival 2015, ended abruptly on Saturday after a fight between two men shortly after 6 a.m.

The driver of the truck that was providing music at the event drove away after the fight and police later went searching for the persons involved in the bloody exchange.

One of the men was left with a bloody ear and back, seemingly as a result of cut wounds.

It is the second time in recent years that fighting brought a carnival activity Central Leeward to a premature end.

  1. What a crying shame, once more the police step in once it’s all over. There should have been more police mixed with the crowd.

The pictures are evidence and the two men must be known. I hope that they are duly prosecuted, otherwise this dispute will follow elsewhere.

This pseudo-Carnival crap is sponsored by a government preoccupied with the “bread and circus” state tricks perfected during the Roman Empire 2,000 years ago to buy off and trick the ignorant and desperate masses.

All states, of course, use such gimmicks, including the degrading tits-and-bum beauty contests depicted below to control the mind of the populace and divert their attention from their day to day misery.

But the bread and circus crap is now out of control in little SVG with a worthless and dehumanizing nearly once a week beauty contest (Miss Texier Road? Give me a break!).

Bacchanal rules the day while the country goes from bad to worse. Poor we.
