The members of the Thusian Institute for Religious Liberty Inc. (TIRL) express a blessed 36th anniversary of political independence to all Vincentians. TIRL is a non-profit, non-governmental Human Rights Education provider with a special emphasis on Religious Liberty otherwise known as Liberty of Conscience.

We continue to be thankful to God that we live in a relatively peaceful environment- a country in which we can enjoy our inalienable, inviolable and constitutionally protected freedom of conscience. However, we recognize that there is an increased threat worldwide to rights and freedoms which will culminate in global anti-conscience legislation. For example, on June 26 of this year, the United States Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage should be performed and recognized in all 50 states. Not only was the ruling unconstitutional, but it serves to embolden sodomite activists in their anti-rights and anti-freedoms behavior. Just over a month ago, Kentucky Clerk, Kim Davis was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. She was persecuted for choosing to follow her God-given freedom of conscience above cooperating with a law that upholds sodomy which is a sexual perversion. Such violations of Liberty of conscience go against the purpose of political independence and governance where the people, in setting up government, understand and expect that government or “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”   1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America.

The world also faces the ongoing threat of terrorism by radical Islamic groups like ISIS and Boko Haram whose aim is to establish a global caliphate. Through rape, murder, suicide bombing and other crimes against humanity, those terrorists target Christians and other religious and ethnic minorities who refuse to submit to Islamic ideology. Indeed, we are living in dangerous times resulting from the deterioration of the heart of sinful men who have no love in their hearts for their fellowmen. In such a world, TIRL appreciates, even the more, the importance of celebrating Jeffersonian-Republican principles which have influenced rights-protecting constitutions like ours. We call upon you, our dear Vincentians to celebrate the possession of inalienable rights and freedoms; equal protection of all under law; securities for majorities and minorities; freedom from tyranny; self-determination; freedom of the individual; the rule of rights and freedoms and the Right to Religious Liberty.

As we commemorate 36 years as an independent nation, let us pledge to Our Creator- the Giver of Rights and Freedoms, to do all that is right and necessary to keep our country ever free-free from becoming part of the Islamic caliphate, free from pro-sodomite legislation, free from hate speech and hate crime laws. As individuals of an independent state, let us guard our natural freedoms. We must value and defend our first right- the right to religious liberty. We must be eternally vigilant to ensure the maintenance of our civil freedoms which is the protection of our natural freedom by the constitution of our land.

Most importantly, we must use our freedoms to glorify Our Maker who alone can make us free from sin as we are told in John 8: 32 and 36: “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” This is freedom from sin. Let us remember that while we have natural freedoms and we need civil freedoms to continually build a new St. Vincent, our greatest need as a people is spiritual freedom through dependence on God alone.

May God bless you with spiritual freedom for a happy 36th anniversary of Independence.

  1. That any minimally conscious Vincentian could take this woman’s hateful and paranoid rantings seriously is sufficient evidence that our people are truely governed by the breadfruit mentality that Sir James Mitchell rightly said characteried so many of our citizens.

    Anesiia, what is your problem?

  2. Many say that Anesia is a “smart” woman but I don’t see it. More and more I am convinced she is mentally ill and needs serious help. Does she have any family who can intervene and get her the help she needs. I would hate to say one of these days ” I told you so ” but this is a ticking time bomb. No normal human being acts like this. !GET HELP!!!!!!!
