A Diamond family is spending Christmas in mourning after a man died as a result of a vehicular accident on Christmas Eve.

Reports are that Francis Thomas, 51, died in hospital after his vehicle ran off the road in Ratho Mill.

I-Witness News understands that Thomas was the only occupant of the vehicle, PM845, a compact minivan, when the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

Initial reports are that he overtook a vehicle near the gap to Harold Dougan’s house and apparently ran off the road during the process.

I-Witness News understands that Thomas fell out of the vehicle and struck his head against a drain.

He was taken to Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in Kingstown, where he died.

Thomas’ death brings to three the number of road fatalities in Ratho Mill in recent weeks.

Oswald De Freitas and Jillian Nanton, both of Park Hill, died on the spot as a result of an incident involving three motor vehicles on Nov. 27.

  1. C-Ben, don’t you think you’re taking this “negativity thing” a little too far?
Come on man, “you can’t live a positive life with a negative mind”. Enough already!
How do you know what happened in this case? Or do you know? Shit happens!
