The North Windward Carnival Development Committee will stage the Miss Windward 2016 beauty pageant on Friday, June 10 at the Georgetown Secondary School auditorium at 8 p.m. The five (5) ladies vying for the title of Miss Windward 2016 are:
- Monifar Cordice – Miss Kayow
- Zoneh Seymour – Miss Biabou
- Cristal Pope – Miss Caratal
- Kimesia Bowens – Miss Langley Park
- Lorice Nero – Miss Pepper Village
Miss Windward 2016 Contestants’ Biographies
Monifar Cordice — Miss Kayow
Monifar Stanielia Cordice was born on Dec. 12, 1996 to Monica Cordice and Stanley Laidlow. Her formal education commenced at the Sandy Bay Government School and continued at the St. Vincent Girls’ High School. Monifar is currently a student at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College: Division of Technical and Vocational Education pursuing an Applied Associates Degree in travel and tourism. This energetic young lady was an active member of her schools netball club.
Monifar was raised by her aunt, who instilled in her strong values that moulded her into the respectful, mature and grounded young lady she is today. Monifar sees Miss Windward 20 16 pageant as an opportunity to form lifelong friendships and to be an ambassador for her community.
Zoneh Seymour — Miss Biabou
Zoneh Seymour was born on Jan. 14, 1996 to Thaddeus Seymour and Rasmin Rogers of Redemption Sharpes at the Kingstown General Hospital. She is the first child for both parents and has one sister. She attended the New Prospect Primary School. She then moved on to the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua where she completed her five years of secondary education. She finished her secondary education at the Intermediate High School. It was at that school she started her modeling career. She then went on to the St. Vincent’s Community College and that’s where her love for pageantry grew.
Zoneh participated in the 2015 Miss P’Tani and due to her failing to acquire any of the top positions, she decided to enter the 2015 Miss Unity Youth pageant where she placed 2nd runner-up. She is currently a member of Focus Entertainment Talent Agency. Her love and passion for taking care of children has grown into something beautiful as she is getting older and Zoneh aspires to become one of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ top pediatricians.
Cristal Pope — Miss Caratal
On the 23rd May 1997, an Angel was born by the name of Cristal Pope in beautiful Hairouna — St.Vincent and the Grenadines. At a young age Cristal migrated to Trinidad and Tobago where she gained an education at the Success Laventille Secondary School where she excelled in the field of mathematics. Cristal can be described as kind, thoughtful and respectable. She is often described as a “tomboy” due to the fact that she plays football and is a member of the System 3 football club. Cristal loves learning new things, listening to music and spending quality time with friends and family.
In an effort to embark on a different journey, Cristal decided to enter the Miss Windward 2016 pageant. Her passion is to shoot for the sky. The thought of undertaking the responsibilities of a queen is not daunting to her because she likes challenges. Cristal`s ultimate dream is to be a lawyer for an international Law Firm while enhancing the way people view female football. Even though her interest is in law; she intends to open a business then expand it into a multinational company. Today you may see the “tomboy” in her, but you will see the glamour, glitz, beauty and talent of Miss Cristal-Angel Pope on the night of the show.
Kimesia Bowens — Miss Langley Park
Born and raised in the “Sugar City”, Georgetown, Kimesia Bowens is a gem to behold. This 19-year-old beauty currently resides in Langley Park, Georgetown with her four siblings and loving mother, to whom she gives credit for moulding her into the well-rounded individual she is today.
Kimesia is a past student of the St. Vincent Girls’ High school, from which she graduated with 10 CSEC passes. Miss Bowens also graduated from the St. Vincent Community College, Division of Arts, Science and General Studies with an Associate Degree in business studies. Her ultimate career goal is to become an entrepreneur.
Her interests lie in dancing, music, reading and occasionally socializing with friends. Kimesia lives her life believing that “we all have the ability to become successful in life, but it is up to us to take the necessary steps in ensuring our own success”.
Lorice Nero — Miss Pepper Village
Lorice Amoy Roseann Nero was born on Oct.14, 1998 to Anesta Nero and Leartes Glasgow. Lorice is the only child for her parents and has been living in Pepper Village, Sandy Bay with them since she left Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where she was born.
Lorice is a graduate of the St. Vincent Girl`s High School and is presently is a student at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division of Arts, Science, and General Studies.
Pageantry has always been her dream and she is delighted to be competing in the Miss Windward 2016 beauty pageant. Lorice aspires to be a private detective in an effort to reduce the crime rate in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
