The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services said Monday morning that it is monitoring the progress of a tropical wave with an associated low-pressure center located about 800 miles east of the Windward Islands.
Forecasters say that based on model guidance, some slow development is possible over the next few days as the system moves westward at 15 mph towards the southern Lesser Antilles.
“Regardless of development, moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely to spread across St. Vincent and the Grenadines by late Tuesday night into Wednesday,” the Met Office said in a bulletin Monday morning.
“Marine conditions are also expected to deteriorate around the same period,” the bulletin said.
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Services said it will continue to monitor this system and provide the necessary updates.
