Four Vincentians, including one female and two Jamaicans have been detained in Antigua after the discovery of illegal drugs and the seizure of cash during a police operation.
On Tuesday, the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy conducted a counter-narcotic operation in the Falmouth Area where the six individuals were apprehended and illicit drugs and cash seized.
A total of 4.13 kilograms of cocaine, carrying an estimated wholesale value of EC$$144,963 and 2.88lbs of cannabis, carrying an estimated wholesale value of EC$5,760 were seized from two separate properties, police said in a statement.
In addition, the execution of a search warrant led to the discovery of EC$1768.45, which was also seized.
Police said investigations into the matter are ongoing and charges are expected to be laid against the detainees, whose names were not initially released.
