St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded its third homicide this year with the shooting death of a man in Kingstown Monday night.  

The man, whose name has been given as Shaquille Ellis/Herbert, of Belair, died in Rose Place, around midnight after being shot by unknown assailants.  

iWitness News understands that the man had a chest wound. 

He is the second person to be shot in the city in just over a month. 

On May 8, Darron “Precious” Davy, an 18-year-old labourer, of Arnos Vale, died in hospital after being shot in the Face on Bay Street, Kingstown around 1:35 a.m.

    Well, my fellow Vincies, I soberly advise that you DO NOT GO OUT IN KINGSTOWN AFTER 9.00 PM.
    Yep, NOTHING GOOD HAPPENS IN THE CAPITAL CITY AFTER 9 O’CLOCK AT NIGHT.
    Such a sad turn of events, and waste of our most precious human resources.
