The homicide count in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for this year moved to 25, on Monday, when a man died in hospital, after being shot in Paul’s Avenue Sunday evening.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Romano “Carpie” Thomas, 29-year-old labourer of Mckie’s Hill.
About 6:38 p.m., on Sunday, at Paul’s Avenue, an unknown person armed with a gun, shot Thomas multiple times about the body.
Thomas was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical attention, but succumbed died during the early morning on Monday.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the exact cause of death.

I am pretty sure the person who shot this young man is not a licensed gun holder, so I am not sure what this action would would accomplish.
