St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association has congratulated youth and senior national female cricketer, Jannillea Glasgow for her selection to the West Indies Senior Women’s Team to tour South Africa from Jan. 25 to Feb. 7.
The West Indies will play four one-day internationals (ODI’s) on Jan., Jan. 31, Feb. 3, and Feb. 6.
The teenage Jannillea, a resident of Park Hill community, first joined the Windward Island Senior Team in 2020 as a right arm medium pacer and left handed batter.
Her impact and potential were evident as she represented West Indies A-team in the bi-lateral ODI and T20 series against Pakistan A-team in July 2021.
“We look forward to great things from this rising star!” the association said.
Congrats nelia. Teacher Haywood must be smiling in his grave and if he was alive he would have been so proud of you. Go girl.
Congrats Ms Jannillea Glasgow, I hope all the best for you in your cricket career. May you win many prizes and always make SVG proud and be a role model and inspiration to many generations of Vincentian females and males alike.
Congrats young lady make St Vincent proud
Please allow me to extend sincerest congratulations to young Ms Glasgow on her selection to our region’s premier cricket team. Please do yourself, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the region proud. Best wishes from the NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES……..
Vincentian cricketers have a way of getting selected only to go the way of the doldrums. I am not sure of ghe reasons, therefore , i am worried about Ms Glasgow’s longevity as a cricketer vis a vis West Indies cricket.
