Two men have been charged with stealing EC$30,000 in cash from a Barrouallie fisherman.
Delroy Harry, 18, of Ottley Hall, and Corey Anderson, 27, of Barrouallie, both labourers, pleaded not guilty to a charge that on Sept. 16, at Barrouallie, they entered the dwelling house of Julius Gabriel, of Barrouallie, as trespassers and stole EC$30,000 in cash, Gabriel’s property.
The men were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne at the Serious Offences Court in Kingstown on Monday.
They were each granted EC$30,000 bail with one surety and ordered to observe a 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
Harry was ordered to report to the Central Police Station and Anderson to the Barrouallie Police Station on Fridays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The men were further ordered to have no contact with the virtual complainant.
The matter was adjourned to Dec. 13, 2023.
