US actress, host and social media sensation Khadeen Ellis, will co-host the La Vue Boutique Hotel Miss SVG 2024 pageant, the Beauty Shows Committee of the Carnival Development Corporation announced on Thursday.
Vincentian Khalil Cato will join Ellis as hosts of the Oct. 5 pageant at Victoria Park.
The committee said the pageant will showcase the beauty, intelligence, and talent of six contestants from communities across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
They are: Lisha Beache, Miss JCI St. Vincent; Athalia Gloster, Miss FLOW; Kewanna Hackshaw, Miss Lynch Caribbean Brokers; Felicia Hector, Miss Insta Cash; Alvina Pinder, Miss Grenadine House and Zada Stephens, Miss KCCU.
Ellis is the daughter of Vincentian Morrison Joseph, of Richland Park.
“Known for her exceptional charisma, stage presence, female empowerment, and unmatched professionalism, she brings a wealth of experience in hosting high-profile events internationally,” the committee said in a press release.
Ellis, a former Miss America Pre-teen (New York), expressed enthusiasm about hosting the Miss SVG Pageant, and also working towards enhancing the visibility of SVG, in collaboration with the SVG Tourism Authority.
She is also married to US actor Devale Ellis who plays Zac Taylor in the Tyler Perry hit series “Sistas” and “Zatima”. Together, they host the webby award-winning podcast “Dead Ass”.
Ellis’ husband will accompany her to SVG, arriving during the week of the pageant.
Chairperson of the Beauty Shows Committee, Aviar Charles said there is no doubt Ellis will add value to this year’s pageant experience, creating an exceptional evening filled with elegance and national pride.
Charles said this would not have been possible without the support of the SVG Tourism Authority.
She said SVG is perfectly poised to be at the pinnacle of success as it relates to consistently attracting influential visitors, thus cementing it as the ideal tourist destination.
Looking good girl! Nice to see pretty women for a change to all the news bout murder an cocaine.
What shows/movies have she acted in?
Kudos to the SVG Tourism authority for snagging Devale Ellis. This will definitely bring national, regional and international attention in the area of Tourism to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Continue to build on these platforms for much needed exposure and long term benefits.
Love the decision.
