A new time has come to our shores. A new breed of youthful intellectuals has emerged to bring back righteousness to our civilisation.
The ULP was given five five-year terms to lead and unify this country. Instead, they have used this opportunity to practice every vice available to man.
Since the 1998 general elections, this country has been divided down the middle. This crop of politicians has practised deceit, victimization, favouritism, nepotism, etc., planting seeds of corruption that have led to our current condition.
We have witnessed many fruits of these vices, including the unwarranted COVID-19 vaccine mandate that disenfranchised many public servants, political victimisation, private sector squeeze, high tax burden on the citizens and so much more.
We are today witnessing a fearless emergence of young intellectuals to advance the righteous cause of our nation. Is this a turning point in our recent history?
Every citizen needs to understand their responsibilities to mould and shape the future direction of our country. Political and social issues are the business of every citizen. Every concerned citizen must be allowed to think critically and independently, regardless of which party they decide to support.
We must look at issues and policies of national importance from the lens of reality instead of invoking our emotions. The new times at hand reflect the hopes and aspirations of a group of young leaders, who are saying the divisive ideology that was imposed on us since 1998 must be eliminated to advance our nation.
We only need a handful of these leaders to create the energy necessary to effect the change. The masses will respond to the vibration of this positive energy. A generation has been corrupted into believing that wrong is right and right is wrong. Let us put away the division, hopelessness, despair and embrace these new times.
The time has come for the old guards to hand over the affairs of this country to this generation. There’s no better time to get this done as we approach our 45th independence anniversary. Give thanks.

Nigel Jacobs I concur with your thoughts and analyzes. The sad part of the Vincentian narrative is having such a high crime rate. The high crime rate does not only stifles investment opportunities, but keep citizens in perpetual fear as they go about their daily routine. The ULP presided over this type of culture and put nothing in place to imprison it.
St vincent crime rate is among the world’s highest, much of it stems from citizens especially the very young whose preponderance to to commit crimes is a sad statistic. Have we reached a point of no return? You be the judge.
