Two male students of JP Eustace Memorial Secondary School have been ordered to return to the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday in connection with a charge of possession of a knife.
The students, Jeremy Gellizeau, 18, and another whose name iWitness News is withholding pending verification of his age, are charged that on Nov. 7, at Kingstown, without lawful excuse in a public place to wit the Kingstown public road, they each had in his possession an offensive weapon to wit a knife.
The students, who appeared in the dock in their school uniforms, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Prosecutor, Inspector of Police Renrick Cato asked that the matter be adjourned to Tuesday so that the Director of Public Prosecutions could inform him how to proceed.
The students had been released on station bail and the prosecutor asked that this continues.
Senior Magistrate Colin John granted the prosecutor’s application and also ordered the students to return to court on Tuesday.
