KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, May 27, IWN – This country has registered its third road fatality for the year, the second in less than a week.
Reports says a Chester Cottage woman died this morning — Monday — when the vehicle in which she was travelling overturned at Colonarie around 12:30.
The woman’s death comes days after 5-year-old Jovel Glasgow died at the Milton Cato Hospital on Tuesday, hours after he and his cousin Lenroy Adams, 4, was hit was a car in the Central Leeward town of Layou.
The boys were crossing the road to their home.
It is time for the responsible people in authority consider putting walk signs to help minimize further terrible road traffic accidents; in addition, the driver of such vehicle who is involved in such horrific accident should never drive again. Their license should be taken away. The driver who knocked down those two little boys (Lenroy Adams & Jovel Glasgow) I hope she is no longer behind the steering wheels. Please Vincentians see to it that this woman stop driving.
Yes, I understand it is an accident. Where were her eyes and her responses. I feel the pain of those children parent or parents. Please Vincentians amplified your voices and your opinions to the responsible people to help stop road fatality.
