Dominica has for the second consecutive year won the Miss Carival Pageant.

The Nature Isle’s delegate, Francine Baron, told reporters that her victory is a power lesson to her students that consistency always pays off.

The educator defeated the nine other contestants in the pageant held at Victoria Park Friday night.

Miss St. Kitts and Nevis, Kaeve Armstrong, who vocal patrons at the front of the stage felt should have won, was First Runner-up.

Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Raynel Carroll, another strong contender for the crown, was Second Runner-up.

Miss Carival 2013 was won by Dominican Leslassa Armour Shillingford.
