Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man whose body was found in Layou about 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Investigations have shown that the man was chopped about his head, right hand, and other parts of his body, resulting in his death.

The death of this unknown man marks the 22nd murder recorded in St Vincent and the Grenadines for 2018.

The police are asking anyone with information in respect this case to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 1784-456-1810 or 1784-457-1211.

Speaking on Boom FM on Monday, acting Commissioner of Police Colin John said:

“I would also take this opportunity, following on from the Saturday night incident, to encourage persons who may have any relatives or friends that they haven’t seen … [to] contact the police so we can try to identify the person.

“Once we identify the person, we would know the motive. We have some information as regards a vehicle and persons embarking from that vehicle, but I would not go into any other details in that regard.”

  1. Wow they butchered him. All they need to do is to sell his carcass now. That is all they are producing now carcasses.
