The Rillan Hill man who was nabbed in Grenada after police in St. Vincent issued a wanted bulletin for him has been charged with rape and indecent assault of a 14-year old girl.

The girl is now pregnant but iWitness News is not informed that the pregnancy resulted from the crime that Bentley Francis/Phillips allegedly perpetrated against her.

Phillips is expected to reappear before the Family Court on Sept. 30 for bail review in connection with the charges.

He is charged with two counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, and one count of indecent assault of the minor.

On Sept. 9, police issued a wanted bulletin for Francis/Phillips, saying he was wanted in connection with a series of sexual offences in the South Leeward village between 2018 and 2019.

Police issued an update one day later, saying that Francis/Phillips had been arrested in Grenada.

  1. It’s high time we send a strong message to all those who believe that it is ok to prey upon d young n innocent…to many of times we have seen where perpetrators act out tried n r found guilty but the sentence is to lenient…the court need to do more when these people prey upon our future generation….(secondly)..this is a two way phase if u ask me because i can testify where this young lady in this scenario is now in d arm of a young man…three weeks ago at a funeral she was seen sitting in a man lap in the bk of the house in the present of her mother….parent play an important role as well in these cases….
