GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) – St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Ralph Gonsalves has arrived in Guyana for a four-day official visit, according to an official statement issued here on Monday.
It said that both Gonsalves and his host, President Irfan Ali arrived here on the same flight from Brazil, where they attended the inauguration of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The statement said that Gonsalves, one of the longest serving heads of government in the 15-member Caribbean Community (CARICOM) grouping, will meet with President Ali and several government ministers “to discuss a number of areas of cooperation”.
Gonsalves visited Guyana last year for the inaugural Agri-Investment Forum and Expo.
